Winter at Maruyama Zoo - Owl and Hawk Forest

This is the Owl and Hawk Forest at Sapporo Maruyama Zoo in winter. As the name suggests, owls and hawks are kept here. A distinctive feature is that some of the pillars are shaped like trees. Since most of the animals are nocturnal, when I looked into the cages, they seemed to be sleeping quite a bit.
