It was a weekend trip to Kapalai, Malaysia 🇲🇾 We recently visited Kapalai, and it was truly a tropical paradise🐠 This stunning island, located near Sipadan, offers crystal-clear waters, vibrant marine life, and incredible photo opportunities 📸

We arrived at Kapalai Dive Resort, the only accommodation on the island 🏝️ and were immediately amazed by the floating wooden 🪵 chalets built over the turquoise waters🏡The best time to take photos here is in the morning ⛅️ when the sun rises over the horizon, casting a soft golden glow on the ocean. It’s also magical at sunset! 🌅

We explored the underwater world and were mesmerized by the colorful marine life 🤿Snorkeling around Kapalai is fantastic, with clear visibility and vibrant coral 🪸 The best time for underwater photography is between 10 AM and 2 PM ☀️ when the sunlight penetrates the water, making the colors pop.

One of the most breathtaking spots we visited was the Kapalai Sandbank, which appears only at low tide🏝️As the sun sets, the sky turns into shades of pink, purple, and orange, an absolute dream for photographers 📸 Arrive around 5:30 PM to catch the golden hour and stay until twilight for the best shots ✨

We highly recommend waking up early for a morning walk along the wooden boardwalks🚶♂️With the stillness of the water and the soft morning light ✨ it’s the perfect time for serene and picturesque shots. The reflections of the overwater bungalows make for stunning compositions 🙌

For those who love diving, Kapalai is one of the best places to spot sea turtles, reef sharks, and even cuttlefish🐢We explored the dive sites nearby, and the best time for clear visibility was between 9 AM and 12 PM ☀️
