Sendai Castle Ruins (Highly Recommended for History Enthusiasts)

The Sendai Castle Ruins (also known as Aoba Castle Ruins) are located in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. Built during the early Edo period by Lord Date Masamune, this site is a historical landmark. Although the castle structures no longer exist, the ruins remain a must-visit destination in Sendai, serving as a cultural symbol and offering stunning views.

To get there, take the "Loople Sendai Sightseeing Bus" from Sendai Station and get off at the "Sendai Castle Ruins" stop (approximately 25 minutes).

I personally love the Sendai Castle Ruins and have visited twice. During my first visit, the statue of Date Masamune was under renovation and not accessible, but I finally got to see it on my second trip! The weather was great, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. After exploring, you can easily walk downhill to leave the site.
