Korea/Seoul [Namdaemun] Yukhoe Bibimbap

I went to the Chinese restaurant "Kaehwa" in Myeongdong, Seoul, Korea.
This Chinese restaurant has been run by three generations of overseas Chinese for over 50 years, and serves everything from jajangmyeon to authentic Chinese food. It has a good reputation among Korean gourmets, and is known as "the place to go for Chinese food in Myeongdong".
It is located near the post office in Myeongdong, in the area known as Little Chinatown, where Chinese restaurants are lined up. It is close to the currency exchange in front of the embassy.
■Tangsuyuk (Korean sweet and sour pork) small 17,000w
"탕수육 (Tangsuyuk/Korean sweet and sour pork)" is often seen in Korean dramas as a side dish to go with jajangmyeon.
Korean sweet and sour pork is simple, with thin, deep-fried pork and onions. It is easy to eat with a mild sourness and a crispy texture. Even the small size is quite filling, so it seems best to share it with 2-3 people. ■ Bokkum Bam (Fried Rice) 7,500w
A simple fried rice dish with fluffy rice and egg. It is served with a thick sauce with oyster sauce on the side.
The thick sauce and fried rice are delicious together. Fried rice is delicious on its own, but eating it with the thick sauce doubles the flavor.
Side dishes include Korean-style pickled radish and zha cai. It comes with soup. The soup has a deep spiciness and flavor similar to yukgaejang. It is a hot soup with a lingering spiciness.
The most popular menu item at Kaika is, of course, jjajangmyeon. Among them, the "yumi jjajang" with minced pork seems to be the most popular. I saw many locals eating jjamponmyeon.
