Preserving Korean History: Changgyeonggung Palace

📍Location: Changgyeonggung Palace, 185 Changgyeonggung-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul

Jongno-gu in Seoul offers a variety of palaces to explore, and among them, I visited 'Changgyeonggung Palace.' It is conveniently connected to Changdeokgung Palace, making it easy to tour both. Changgyeonggung Palace was originally built in 1418 as an extension of Suganggung Palace, serving as a secondary palace. What makes Changgyeonggung unique is that it is the only royal palace from the Joseon Dynasty that was constructed facing east. This gives it a distinct open and spacious feel compared to other palaces. I highly recommend visiting 'Changgyeonggung Palace' to experience a piece of Korea's rich history.
