🏨 Hotel Introduction
Located at the intersection of a transportation hub and city green space, Jiantao Novotel Hotel sits in the heart of the Hongqiao business district with very convenient transportation. It is a mid-to-high-end brand under the Accor Group, combining modern design with comfortable functionality, well-equipped facilities, and international services. It is about a 15-minute drive from Hongqiao Airport and Hongqiao Railway Station, and over an hour to Pudong Airport.

Opposite the hotel is Livat Shanghai, a large shopping complex developed and managed by Ingka Shopping Center (the parent company of IKEA). Besides IKEA, there are over 350 brand tenants including restaurants of various levels. The hotel’s location is excellent yet peaceful, making it an ideal base for both business and leisure travelers. Since the hotel is quite close to the company and airport, and with the new large shopping mall Livat right across, on the day of departure you can store your luggage at the front desk first, then enjoy a meal and stroll at Livat before picking up your luggage and heading to the airport. This convenience makes it my go-to hotel for business trips to Shanghai. Overall, in the Changning Hongqiao area of Shanghai, its cost-performance ratio is top-notch.

🍽️ Hotel Facilities Highlights｜Dining & Facilities
The hotel opened in 2018, with executive floors on the 11th floor and other rooms from the 5th to 11th floors. It is recommended to request a high-floor room for better views. The 3rd floor has a gym and a Japanese restaurant (06:30-23:00). The buffet is on the 2nd floor at Yue Chinese Restaurant (11:30-14:30 & 17:00-22:00). The 1st floor houses the hotel lobby and a food bar (08:00-23:00). If your package includes afternoon tea (which must be used on the day of check-in between 14:00-18:00), it will be served here. Although afternoon tea is included in the package, the quality is good, and the coffee and small cakes are worth trying.

The rooms are clean and odor-free, fully equipped with air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi, plenty of USB outlets, flat-screen TV, safe, and refrigerator. I especially appreciate that the minibar drinks are complimentary. The bathroom has a dry and wet separation, and the fixtures and materials are of high quality.

The front desk service team is very professional and efficient. The check-in process is smooth, and they even provide a small gift pack with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and comb, which is very thoughtful.
