Jing An Temple, Shanghai

Yunlu is located right next to Jing’an Temple, surrounded by shopping malls — a great choice for dinner with friends after work or a casual family gathering. I’ve chosen this place before for Chinese New Year’s Eve dinner — the environment is pleasant, the service is great, and the food is delicious.
The appetizer salad was light and refreshing, with a mix of vegetables and fruits.
The spicy beef tongue was packed with flavor — the spiciness really enhanced the aroma.
The boiled prawns were huge and super fresh, with a light taste that brought out the natural texture of the ingredients.
The pan-fried ribbonfish was done exceptionally well — crispy on the outside and tender inside. It’s a classic dish that’s definitely worth trying.
The braised pork with grilled squid featured pork that was rich but not greasy, and the squid soaked up all the savory flavors — incredibly tasty.
Do note that reservations are needed during major holidays.
