Tranquility in the heart of Shanghai

The first destination to mark on your Shanghai plan is Jing'an Temple.
Jing'an Temple is the oldest temple in Shanghai, built during the Ming Dynasty, making it approximately 800 years old today. The entrance fee for the temple is 50 CNY (~250 THB).

Upon entering, you'll encounter a large incense burner resembling a pagoda. Most visitors toss coins into the burner to make wishes.

The temple features spacious grounds with serene and shady trees. There are multiple buildings and floors interconnected, housing various halls with numerous Buddha statues for worship and prayer.

One spot where I lingered to make a wish was the Guan Yin statue, beautifully crafted from wood, exuding warmth and elegance.
