Micang Pop: Coffee & Sweat Treats

Micang Pop is a cute dessert café located near the bustling Middle Huaihai Road. After dinner, stopped by for some sweat treats and to check out the location.

Even at 8 PM, the shop was still pretty full. The best seats are the ones at the window – they’re perfect for people watching or having a chat with a friend.

The menu has all of the café classics, plus some interesting standouts. We especially liked the unique red date rooibos latte and the rich flavor of the honey latte.

For desserts, one of the café’s most popular choices is the soufflé, which takes around half an hour to prepare. Consider trying the crème brulee or pancakes covered with caramel, bananas, and hazelnuts, though needless to say it’s a bit on the heavy side.

Don’t miss out on the toasted marshmallow ice cream, which features a giant, slightly charred ice cream marshmallow on a stick that took us back to eating s’mores (minus the chocolate and graham crackers) around the campfire.

This café frequently comes out with seasonal menus around the holidays, so be sure to check back often.
