Review of a trip to Songzanlin Temple, Shangri-La

Songzanlin Lama Temple, also known as Songzanlin Temple, is located in Shangri-La, Yunnan Province, China.
This ancient temple was modeled after the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. It boasts beautiful architectural sculptures.
From a distance, you can see its bright yellow roof, five entrances, and actual monks reside inside.

Opening Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Entrance fee: 55 yuan
Shuttle bus fare: 20 yuan

Up the stairs, you'll find yourself in the square in front of the temple building. We recommend visiting the temple grounds to pray. Photography is prohibited inside the temple grounds, only from the outside. It was very crowded with tourists.
We spent about two hours there before heading back out because it started to rain heavily and the weather was very cold.
