I happened to pass by the ancient town of Heping that I heard about many years ago.
📍Detailed address:
Nanping, Fujian
Heping Ancient Town
It has a history of more than 1,700 years and is a rare large castle-like village in China. There are three gate towers and part of the city wall in the east, south and north. It also retains one of the earliest academies in northern Fujian - Heping Academy, as well as several doctor's offices and county magistrate's offices.
There are also more than 300 typical ancient buildings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, including many nunneries, temples, ancestral halls and warehouses.
From south to north, there is a main street paved with bluestone slabs in the ancient town.
Known as the "No. 1 Street in Fujian", the street is lined with well-preserved old buildings. There are local people who live here and sell some local specialties. Enthusiastic but also very Buddhist, with a very low commercial atmosphere.
Attractions: Heping Ancient Town is located on the border of Fujian and Jiangxi in Shaowu City. It takes about 45 minutes to drive from Shaowu. Heping Ancient Town is also known as Heping Ancient Town. To be fair, the ancient town is not very outstanding, but when matched with the small flow of people, the experience is actually good. The three towers in the south, north and east are the most conspicuous, and then there are many old houses on both sides of the main road connecting the north and the south. Enter from the south gate, pass by the theater building, Jinglu, fake supply and marketing cooperative, etc., exit from the north gate, and then go to Turn west to go to the academy. After visiting the academy, you return to the main road.

Recommend self-driving
📷Take photos and check in:
The Qiao Tower is the most beautiful and iconic one. The East Gate Qiao Tower is less crowded and easier to take pictures of.
