Traveling to a Small City in China: Recommended Café in Shaoxing

A few days ago, I went on a 6-day, 5-night trip to China. During the last two days, I visited Shaoxing (浙江省 绍兴), a small city near Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province. While exploring Shaoxing, I came across a café called Song Jian (松间), and I was so impressed that I wanted to share my experience.

Song Jian (松间) is located within Shusheng Guli (书圣故里), making it a perfect spot to grab a coffee while strolling through Shusheng Street.

What makes this café special is its unique latte menu, infused with Chinese tea flavors, allowing you to enjoy coffee with a Chinese twist! I ordered the Osmanthus Latte (桂花萃果拿铁), which was absolutely delightful. The latte was rich with the subtle fragrance of osmanthus tea, creating a pleasant and aromatic experience.

For dessert, I tried the Earl Grey Fruit Cake (水果伯爵茶蛋糕). The Earl Grey cream was light and not overly rich, with a gentle Earl Grey aroma that complemented the cake perfectly. The cake was also packed with fresh fruits, adding a refreshing touch.

The total cost for the latte and cake was 72 yuan, which is relatively expensive considering the local prices in small cities in China. However, the quality and taste were worth it, and I would definitely visit again. Sitting in a cozy café, enjoying a delicious latte, and reading a book was such a relaxing experience!
