I especially love taking my kids to Shaoxing—great food, fun shopping,
and a relaxing vibe.
Just a 1-hour drive from Hangzhou [Taxi]
This time, I wanted to have a fuller experience, so I planned 2 days and 1 night.
But because the hotel I chose was so fun to explore,
we ended up spending most of the time at the hotel.
🏨 Shaoxing Kapok Hyatt Centric
The hotel used to be the 871 Chip Factory. The light and shadow in the public areas create an absolutely beautiful atmosphere, very much like Guilin Tangshe. In short, it’s incredibly photogenic!
✨ I recommend white-themed outfits. I dressed my daughter in a white dress, which looked amazing in photos.
The photos of the hair tie from this trip were all taken right at the hotel.

We originally planned to visit Cangqiao Straight Street after check-in,
but the kids made friends at the playground and didn’t want to leave.
Isn’t the relaxation of travel about breaking plans and doing what you want in the moment?
I wandered around the hotel’s public areas, which alone have over 50 art pieces, feeling like visiting a gallery or art exhibition.
Dinner that night was unexpectedly delicious at the hotel’s Little Nanyang restaurant. I recommend the jasmine-smoked fish, ten-year Huadiao braised pork, and Xishi tofu soup.
During the meal, the lobby bar played Pinghu tunes, creating a great vibe.
✨ Other tips:
Right across from the hotel is Shaoxing Tiandi, convenient for dining or ordering takeout. The hotel has a kids’ playground, which, although small, is very clean. The kids made friends and played wildly all afternoon.
It’s 1 km from Fushan Park and about 3 to 4 km from Cangqiao Straight Street, Lu Xun’s Former Residence, and Shusheng’s Former Residence—around 15 minutes by car.
