The parking lot is free, and it costs 40 yuan per person to enter the small core part of Xucun. It is said that the charge started this year. If you are not interested in cultural relics and just want to see the scenery, you don't have to come.

This is my third self-driving trip to Anhui. The overall feeling is that there are charges everywhere. Many villages that were free last year have now closed down. [Grin]
No matter how you understand it, it still feels weird to charge fees in these villages where people live. In comparison, Shanxi has more Chinese human touch.
