Hiking is the best way to explore Gouqi Island

Gouqi Island, known as the 'Little Greece' of the East, is located in the eastern part of the Shengsi archipelago and is the second largest island after Sijiao. It is relatively close to Zhoushan and Shanghai, featuring attractions such as the Dongya Cliff, the deserted village, the Mountain and Sea Wonder Monument, the sea ranch, and Dawang Beach.

I personally prefer travel experiences that are immersive, and this time my friend and I went to Gouqi Island on May 21st and left on May 23rd. We stayed on Gouqi Island for 3 days and 2 nights, hiking all the way and had a very fulfilling experience.

⭐ Accommodation: Accommodation is very important to me, as a good place to stay can greatly enhance the whole trip. This time, we stayed at the Shengsi Panghai Linfeng Cliff Sea View Homestay on Gouqi Island, which is a homestay built on a cliff. It's perfect for a vacation, with a unique location at the mid-level of a fishing village in front of Dongya Cliff. The white design gives a Santorini vibe, facing the sea with blooming flowers, and everywhere you look is a beautiful landscape, every snapshot is a beautiful painting of mountains and water.

⭐ Transportation: We drove to Zhoushan, and the next morning we took a boat. What I found strange was that the round-trip boat tickets from Zhujiajian Centipede Pier to Shengshan/Gouqi were purchased on different public accounts. The ticket to the island was bought on the Zhoushan Haixing Ferry public account, and the return ticket on the Shengsi Passenger Transport public account. Both could be boarded directly by scanning the ID card.

D1, we set off for Zhujiajian in Zhoushan at 9:30 am, checked into the Licheng Bieyuan·Cimei Fanke (Putuoshan Airport Centipede Pier Store), strolled around the hotel in the afternoon, and accidentally discovered a mountain opposite the hotel with nice scenery. D2, we took the boat at 7:45 am, Centipede Pier ~ to Shengshan/Gouqi Island, the boat trip took about three and a half hours. The homestay arranged for someone to pick us up, and it was a ten-minute drive to the booked homestay. Afternoon itinerary: Hotel ~ Dongya Cliff ~ Walk one and a half hours to the deserted village ~ Explore the deserted village of Green Fairyland ~ Taxi back to the homestay,

D3, we left the hotel at 8:30 am, Hotel ~ Lover's Stone ~ Dayu Bay Beach ~ Shengshan Town ~ Sanjiaojiang Bridge ~ Gouqi Island ~ Various beaches on Gouqi Island ~ Dawang Village ~ Gouqi Seafood Street for lunch ~ Mountain and Sea Wonder ~ Longquan Village ~ Sea Ranch ~ Ganshixi Pier. We hiked more than twenty kilometers all day, with beautiful scenery along the way,

D4, we left the hotel at 8 am, climbed up a small path next to the hotel, starting with well-built steps. After the steps, there was a wide mud road. Continuing forward, climbing higher and higher, the view below was beautiful. Eventually, we reached a well-built highway, then continued upward, finding that the other side of the road also had a beautiful seascape, not inferior to Dongya Cliff. Continuing upward, we encountered soldiers in camouflage shouting at us that there was a military base ahead and we could not go any further, so we had to turn back. On the way, we met an old man who guided us down to Dayu Bay Beach through a small path.

At 12:20 pm, we took the boat from Shengshan Pier to Zhujiajian Centipede Pier, checked into Licheng Bieyuan·Cimei Fanke (Putuoshan Airport Centipede Pier Store),

D5, we drove from Zhoushan to Jiaxing.
