If you're traveling to Northeast China, why not step back in time and experience 400 years of imperial history at the Shenyang Imperial Palace, the starting point of Qing Dynasty history?
#Shenyang Imperial Palace Along with the Forbidden City, the Shenyang Imperial Palace is one of the most intact palaces in China. It was built in 1625 by Nurhaci, the founder of the Later Jin (Qing) Dynasty, and Hong Taiji, its second emperor.
Even after the imperial center moved to Beijing, it remained as a "second palace" and a villa, boasting a unique fusion of Manchu palace style and traditional Han Chinese architecture.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the palace encompasses over 100 halls and beautiful courtyards on a site spanning approximately 60,000 square meters. Its layout is divided into East, Middle, and West Palaces, and features diverse attractions such as the Great Hall, Phoenix Pavilion, Ten Kings Pavilion, and the Wenzhou Pavilion.
The interior currently operates as the Palace Museum, where you can view exhibitions of imperial artifacts, treasures, and other royal artifacts.
