Commercialized Nantou Ancient Town

A creative and cultural district open 24 hours a day, it is also an ancient city that has witnessed nearly 1,700 years of historical changes. The city still retains historical buildings such as the Xin'an County Government, Dongguan Guild Hall, South City Gate, and Baode Temple, as well as residential buildings built in the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China in the Lingnan Cantonese architectural style. There are also several permanent exhibitions that allow for a deeper understanding of the development and changes in the culture of the Pearl River Estuary. One of them displays ancient maps, which is well worth a look.

When you are there, you will find that the majority are hipster-style coffee shops and restaurants, selling some unique creative or foreign cultural products. It has a strong commercial atmosphere and you can easily spend half a day there.

How to get there:
1) Take Shenzhen Metro Line 1 to Taoyuan Station or Daxin Station, and then walk for about 10-15 minutes.
2) Take Shenzhen Bus No. M506 and get off at "Nantou Ancient City Station", then cross the overpass to the South City Gate opposite
