Shenzhen CBD's New Trendy Landmark! UrCove Hotel Unlocks "Smart

Opened just this April, it is not only the newest among the eight existing Yitel hotels in Shenzhen but also the sixth one I plan to check in and complete. You can clearly feel the rapid iteration speed of the Yitel brand.
Compared to previous versions, Shenzhen Bay MixC Yitel can be considered a new generation comprehensive edition. Located at the prime spot on Binhai Avenue, opposite Tencent, with a delicate lobby and welcome drinks, it almost no longer resembles a budget hotel, but rather has the appearance of a traditional five-star hotel in less affluent areas, such as Hong Kong. The moment you open the door and see the bathtub, you realize that with this level of competition, perhaps in the next couple of years, we can look forward to Yitel hotels with executive lounges and swimming pools.
The room was upgraded to a high-floor executive king bed, with a splendid night view of the densely packed cityscape outside the window. The standard Yitel hardware includes electric curtains, electric toilet, Dyson hairdryer, and Peet’s capsule coffee, all fully equipped, along with various small upgrades like a makeup mirror, free minibar, and even alcohol. Additionally, the gym and self-service laundry on the 16th floor each have an extra set of equipment.
Of course, the new hotel also has some overwhelming issues: requesting a quiet room resulted in one facing the main road; repeatedly asking for bottled water took over an hour to be delivered; the network was poor, either no signal or repeated authentication; the decoration smell was strong, and the corridor blower was ineffective.
Breakfast the next day was arranged in the second-floor restaurant, with an elegant environment and a small but innovative variety. Western-style dishes seemed to dominate, while local flavors were supported only by Nanshan lychees.
Overall, the price is not low, likely targeting the reimbursement limits of surrounding companies. The atmosphere is also serious; the seemingly casual coffee lobby bar had everyone sitting upright.
