#mytraveldiary
Shikoku offered a peaceful retreat from Japan’s bustling cities, wrapping me in nature, tradition, and quiet charm. I wandered through misty mountains in Iya Valley, crossed vine bridges, and soaked in the calm of hidden onsens. The 88-temple pilgrimage added a spiritual rhythm to my journey, each temple a serene pause in time. In Takamatsu, Ritsurin Garden was a living painting, while Matsuyama’s castle stood proud with centuries of stories. Locals welcomed me with warmth and simplicity. Shikoku isn’t flashy, it’s deeply grounding. A place where the soul breathes, and every step feels like a gentle conversation with the past.
