A Garden Masterpiece, Beautiful in All Seasons
Ritsurin Garden is truly "breathtakingly beautiful." I visited in spring, and the lush green trees, pond, and meticulously trimmed pine trees harmonized to create a scene reminiscent of an Oriental painting. I was particularly impressed by the tezukuri (hand-made) method of supporting the numerous pine trees with ropes, demonstrating the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into cultivating the garden over many years. Searching for #JapaneseGarden #RitsurinGarden always brings up the famous scenery, but it was even more beautiful in person. The autumn foliage and winter snowscape are also said to be breathtaking, so I definitely want to return in other seasons. 🌸
