Yamaguchi Travel: Fresh Seafood from Karato Market

During my trip to Yamaguchi, I visited Karato Market in Shimonoseki. However, due to the overwhelming crowd, I decided against eating there. Instead, I heard about a seafood restaurant nearby that serves fresh fish from 'Uohana,' a fish shop in the market that also supplies to a Michelin-starred restaurant in Singapore. So, I decided to give it a try.

The fish are of high quality, purchased at the morning auction on the same day. The lineup for the day included: young tuna, yellowtail, flounder, sea bream, flounder fin, red shrimp, turban shell, cutlassfish, amberjack, Kanmon octopus, and spear squid.

Each piece of sashimi was large, thick, and incredibly fresh! There was also a great variety. The fish soup was absolutely amazing as well!

In a stylish and clean interior, I enjoyed incredibly delicious fish.
