Universal Studios Singapore in Singapore!
It's more compact than Japan's, so you can easily enjoy it in a short time during your trip!
Unlike Japan, it won't take up your whole day, so be sure to visit it while you're there!
The day I visited was a Monday!
It was a weekday, but compared to what I checked beforehand, it seemed busier, and the wait times felt a bit longer.
I stayed for 4 hours!
Entered at 10:30 AM and left at 2:30 PM according to the schedule!
First, how to go around:
The attractions are arranged in a circle, so decide whether to go clockwise or counterclockwise!
Clockwise → From thrill rides to milder attractions
Counterclockwise → From milder attractions to thrill rides
That's roughly how the attractions are laid out!
This time, I went counterclockwise!
It’s a route that gradually gets you used to the thrill rides!
Now, I'll introduce the rides in the order I went on!
① Despicable Me Minion Mayhem
A 3D attraction!
The visuals were almost the same as in Japan!
🕰️ Wait time: 20 minutes
② Puss In Boots’ Giant Journey
A hanging roller coaster, a mild ride that even small children can enjoy!
🕰️ Wait time: 5 minutes
③ Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure
An attraction where you ride a circular boat through water currents.
It ends with a coaster! You get soaked on the final coaster, so a raincoat is a must! Your shoes will get very wet too! Sandals are recommended!
Bring one from Japan if you need it!
🕰️ Wait time: 40 minutes
④ Revenge of the Mummy
An indoor coaster!
I personally really liked it! First, the concept is not found in Japan, and I loved the world it created! It felt like I was in Egypt!
The coaster itself is also a lot of fun!!
🕰️ Wait time: 50 minutes
④ Battlestar Galactica: Cyclone
A roller coaster!
There are two types: Human → no spins, feet don’t dangle
Cyclone → 360° spins, feet dangle
The Human ride had a 100-minute wait, which was quite long, so I tried the Cyclone!
I’m quite a scaredy-cat and was really nervous before riding, even hesitating halfway, but I’m glad I rode it! It was super fun!
It’s not very tall, so even those afraid of heights might manage it! On the other hand, thrill-seekers might find it a bit tame?
🕰️ Wait time: 40 minutes
⑤ Transformers The Ride
Another 3D attraction with 3D glasses!
It was very similar to the Spider-Man ride in Japan!
🕰️ Wait time: 30 minutes
All the queues have roofs, so you’re protected from the sun, but it’s still hot, so be careful of heatstroke!
The concept is different from Japan’s, so it was fresh and very enjoyable!
If you have free time, definitely visit!
