When it comes to Singapore… everyone must think of the water-spouting lion “Merlion,” right? We didn’t miss it either! On this trip, we made sure to check in at Merlion Park, a national landmark that first-time visitors must stop by.
The waterfront atmosphere is amazing. You can comfortably walk along the entire Marina Bay shoreline. The morning air is cool with a gentle breeze, perfect for sipping coffee, taking photos, and chilling while enjoying the view of the opposite side where the iconic Marina Bay Sands stands tall. It’s a “wow!” sight that needs no enhancement.
The real Merlion is bigger than expected! It stands proudly spouting water, attracting lots of photographers. But since the area is spacious, it’s still easy to walk around without feeling crowded. There are many photo angles—whether you want to capture the Merlion with MBS in the background or turn your back to the lion and shoot the bay view, every shot looks beautiful.
If you’re still around in the evening, don’t forget to catch the Spectra Light Show from Marina Bay Sands. You can see it clearly from Merlion Park. The lights reflecting on the water are so beautiful that you’ll find yourself grabbing your phone to record a video without even realizing it.
Overall, this is one of our favorite spots in Singapore. It’s simple but full of charm and the true essence of “Singapore” that you can really feel. If you come… don’t forget to stop by because the photos here will be memories that make you smile every time you look back! 😊
