Changi, an airport or an entertainment paradise?

If I had to choose the most surprising place in Singapore, it would definitely be Changi Airport. It might sound strange, but here you'll see that an airport is not just a place for flights. From the moment I stepped in, I was overwhelmed by the lush greenery, crystal-clear water features, and the HSBC Rain Vortex waterfall cascading down the center of Jewel Changi like something out of a sci-fi movie.

Walking around Jewel, you'll find an indoor forest, a glass bridge high above, play areas for kids, free movie theaters, and even an outdoor swimming pool. Dining options are abundant: from Michelin-starred Hawker Chan chicken rice to Starbucks and McDonald’s. The best part is that there’s no sense of rush here; everything is clean, orderly, and quintessentially Singaporean.

The biggest advantage of Changi is that you can spend an entire day here without getting bored: check in a few hours early to eat, shop, and explore. A minor downside is that Jewel can get quite crowded on weekends or during festivals, so taking photos at the waterfall might require a bit of patience.

👉 For me, Changi is not just an airport but a "gateway to travel" designed to leave visitors with unforgettable memories of Singapore from the very first moment they arrive.
