National Prchid Garden is located in the Botanical Gardens and there is an entrance fee to the Orchid Gardens. The Botanical Garden has no e trance fee, and closes at 6 pm.

Free to visit, the only part that needs a paid ticket is the Orchid gardens that we did not visit. Highly recommend visiting! The rainforest area was atmospheric and immersive there were even thunder sounds (It sounded so real I couldn't even tell if it was just speakers or real thunder). There were multi user swings in the park and lily pads in the lake.
Best time is to go during sunrise. I started of from Napier station and moving my way up to the botanical garden station. You do get a little bit of what the gardens have to offer. From the lake, to sun dial garden, the gazebo, ginger garden, etc. the national orchid garden is recommended within itself.
