If you’re hunting for epic natural colors, make Yanbian and Sunan in Gansu your playground 🌈. The highlight? Zhangye Colorful Danxia — trust me, it looks even wilder IRL than on Instagram. You’ll catch mountains striped in surreal reds, oranges, and yellows; it’s literally like walking into a landscape painting.

Key destination tips:
Gansu can be dry and sunny, so layer up! Dress for wind, and expect strong sun. Cash is accepted, but mobile payment is better. No visa hassle for domestic travelers. Locals are warm and helpful — don’t be shy to ask for directions or lunch suggestions.
