Day 1: Arrival & Zhangye Danxia Geopark 🌈🏜️

Morning: Travel to Zhangye
• 7:00 AM – Take a 2.5-hour flight from Beijing to Zhangye Ganzhou Airport (YZY).
• 9:30 AM – Arrive in Zhangye and take a 30-minute taxi to the city center. Check in at a boutique hotel and freshen up.
• 10:30 AM – Enjoy a relaxed breakfast with Gansu-style beef noodles and milk tea at a local eatery.

Afternoon: Explore Zhangye Danxia Landform 🌈
• 12:00 PM – Head to Zhangye Danxia National Geopark (about 40km from the city). This colorful, layered mountain range looks like a painting come to life!
• 1:30 PM – Walk along the viewing platforms and admire the stunning red, yellow, and orange rock formations.
• 3:00 PM – Take a shuttle bus to different scenic spots, such as Seven-Color Platform and Sunset Platform.
• 4:30 PM – Capture some golden hour photos before heading back to the city.

Evening: Relaxed Night in Zhangye 🍜🌃
• 6:30 PM – Have dinner at a local restaurant, trying Gansu-style hand-pulled noodles and lamb skewers.
• 8:00 PM – Walk through Zhangye Bell & Drum Tower Square, enjoy some street performances, and grab a light dessert.
• 9:30 PM – Head back to your hotel and rest for tomorrow’s adventures.

Day 2: Giant Buddha Temple & Horse Hoof Temple 🏯🐎

Morning: History & Buddhism
• 8:00 AM – Have a slow breakfast with sweet wheat porridge and steamed buns.
• 9:00 AM – Visit the Giant Buddha Temple, home to China’s largest reclining Buddha (over 34 meters long!). Marvel at its peaceful expression and the ancient murals inside the temple.

Afternoon: Matisi (Horse Hoof Temple) 🏞️
• 11:00 AM – Take a 1-hour drive to Matisi, a hidden Buddhist grotto complex built into the mountains.
• 12:30 PM – Explore the temple caves, some of which have stunning carvings and painted statues inside. Enjoy the calm and peaceful environment surrounded by nature.
• 2:00 PM – Light lunch at a small Tibetan-style tea house nearby. Try some yak butter tea and momos (dumplings).

Evening: Return to Beijing
