Besides the heartbreakingly beautiful sea views and vibrant jungles, there are also spectacular and awe-inspiring volcanoes 🌋 and waterfalls 🌊 to listen to the heartbeat of the Earth~ The Twin Volcanoes + Waterfalls tour lets you experience Bali’s extraordinary vitality 🌅
🌴 Itinerary
📍 Day 1: Arrive in Surabaya
Arrive at Surabaya International Airport. It is recommended to stay in a hotel in the city center or near the airport to rest and prepare for the next day’s itinerary. Surabaya itself is Indonesia’s second-largest city, so you can spend some time visiting local attractions like Surabaya Zoo or Suramadu Bridge to experience the local culture.
📍 Day 2: Head to Bromo Volcano
Depart early morning for Bromo Volcano (about 3-4 hours by car), enjoying the rural scenery of East Java along the way.
Upon arrival, check into a nearby hotel, such as in Cemara Lawang village, which is an ideal spot for viewing Bromo.
In the afternoon, explore around the volcano, take in the magnificent views of the Tengger mountain range, or hike to the Laut Pasir sea of sand.
📍 Day 3: Bromo Volcano Sunrise and Trekking
Depart around 3 AM to the Bromo Volcano viewpoint, usually recommended is Mount Penanjakan, the best place to watch the Bromo sunrise. If the weather is good, the sunrise views are breathtaking, with Mount Batok and Semeru Volcano visible in the distance.
🌞 After sunrise, you can ride a horse or hike to the crater to experience the thrilling volcanic steam.
Return to the hotel for a short rest, then drive to accommodation near Ijen Volcano in the afternoon, about 5-6 hours by car.
📍 Day 4: Ijen Volcano Tour 🌋
Depart around midnight to the starting point of Ijen Volcano and begin the climb. Ijen Volcano is famous worldwide for its Blue Fire phenomenon and sulfur mines.
The climb takes about 1.5-2 hours, and in the early morning, you can see the mysterious blue flames. Afterwards, continue hiking to the crater lake to admire one of the world’s most acidic lakes’ magnificent scenery. 🎀
Return to the accommodation to rest, then drive back to Surabaya in the afternoon (about 5-6 hours by car), arriving in the evening.
📍 Day 5: Depart from Surabaya
1️⃣💗 Warm Bali Tips
🔹 Don’t exchange money or buy SIM cards at the airport; prices are high and not worth it.
🔹 Bali’s attractions are quite spread out and far apart, so it’s recommended to hire a car.
🔹 Don’t drink tap water in Bali; only drink bottled water. Waterborne illnesses will punish anyone who underestimates it.
🔹 For volcano trips, remember to bring comfortable, durable, and warm clothes, and wear non-slip shoes.
🔹 For sea trips or inconvenient transport, prepare motion sickness medicine and seasickness pills in advance.
🔹 Bali’s UV rays are strong, so be sure to bring sun protection products.
