If you ask me where I'd like to go for a day trip to a neighboring city in Shanghai, I'd definitely say Suzhou.

Just a half-hour by high-speed train, you'll arrive in Suzhou, the "City of a Thousand Gardens," renowned for its beautiful gardens. There are numerous rock gardens to explore and admire. It's also a cute and hip riverside town perfect for taking photos.
