Sydney is truly perfect for city walks. After more than ten trips back and forth, I always find many new photo spots. After reading many guides, I’m sharing some of my personal favorite iconic photo spots in Sydney. If you have limited time but want to see Sydney quickly, be sure to save these.
👉If you have better spots, share them in the comments!
1️⃣ Cremorne Point Wharf – Sydney’s most beautiful bus stop, where you can frame the Opera House perfectly (Photo 1, Photo 2)
2️⃣ 118 Kirribilli Ave – A stunning spot in North Sydney, located in a small alley in a residential area, offering a view of the Opera House across the water. The best shooting point is on the stairs behind, using a telephoto lens (Photo 3)
3️⃣ Seats in front of the Opera House – The seats in front of the Sydney Opera House are great for photos, with excellent angles for amazing shots (Photo 4)
4️⃣ 7 Hickson Rd, The Rocks NSW – The glass of the Hyatt Hotel echoes the Opera House, giving an Inception-like feel. The nearby seats are also great for framing shots! (Photo 5, Photo 6)
5️⃣ Bridge stairs – Overlooking Sydney Harbour and the Opera House from above, the best shots are at sunset (Photo 7)
6️⃣ Under the Sydney Harbour Bridge – The combination of the Opera House and the railing creates a layered effect (Photo 8, Photo 9)
7️⃣ Sydney Triple Combo Spot 28 Lavender Street – Frame the Sydney Opera House, Moon Park, and Harbour Bridge together; the colors are best at sunset (Photo 10)
8️⃣ Circular Quay – The most beautiful station in the Southern Hemisphere, stunning during the blue hour (Photo 11, Photo 12)
9️⃣ On the ferry from Circular Quay to Kirribilli – The ferry offers panoramic views of Sydney Harbour, especially this route, where you can frame the Harbour Bridge and Opera House together. The night blue hour is unbeatable (Photo 13, Photo 14)
🔟 Observation Viewing Platform – Great for photos at sunset, though I didn’t wait for the sunset this time (Photo 15)
1️⃣1️⃣ The Square Landing restaurant – The most beautiful restaurant, perfectly framing the Opera House in the glass for amazing shots. Remember to go when there are no cruise ships 🛳️ (Photo 16)
1️⃣2️⃣ Bondi Icebergs Pool (Photo 17, Photo 18)
