The wetlands, located along Taiwan’s western coast, are a peaceful haven, offering a vast expanse of mangrove forests, tidal flats, and a rich diversity of wildlife. As I walked along the boardwalk, the wind was almost constant, gusting through the reeds and adding a dramatic, almost magical element to the scene.
The breeze seemed to carry the scent of the ocean, invigorating every step. It was powerful enough to make the grasses sway in unison, and at times, I had to hold my hat tightly as the wind tried to steal it away! The windy conditions added a sense of adventure to my exploration, as I watched local birds dart through the sky, expertly navigating the gusts. The wetlands are known for their stunning sunset views, but even with the wind whipping around me, the beauty of the landscape remained captivating.
Do remember to bring extra jacket, or put on extra layers to protect yourself from the wind during the cold season!
