Comment: Hayashi Department Store was a department store during the Japanese colonial period in Taiwan, located in the West Central District of Tainan. It is one of the first department stores in Taiwan and is also the oldest existing department store in Taiwan. Founded by the Lin Fangyi family, Lin Department Store is an important historical building in Taiwan and a pioneer in Taiwan's department store industry.
