As soon as I entered the Judicial Museum, I was attracted by its solemn and retro appearance. This building was originally the Tainan District Court during the Japanese colonial period. Its elegant red brick exterior and column design are full of strong European classical style. Walking through the door, it feels like stepping into the court world of the past. The high ceilings and wooden decorations make the entire space majestic and full of history. The most attractive part is the court re-enactment area. Standing in front of the judge's bench, you can imagine the scene of judges hearing cases in the past, which makes people want to role-play!
The museum displays the development of Taiwan's judicial system, from the early trial system to the modern concept of the rule of law, and the content is quite interesting. You can also see the old jail cells and interrogation rooms, which gives you a more intuitive experience of the judicial operations of the past. After the tour, it is recommended to take a walk along the nearby Fuzhong Street and find a cafe to savor this city full of stories.
