Anping Old Fort: The Quiet Charm of Red Brick Through Time

Take a bus from Tainan, get off at the bus stop, and it's a five-minute walk.
To Anping Old Fort, where you can learn about history dating back to the Dutch colonial era.
The area near the bus stop appears to be used only as an exit, so you have to go around the street in front of Anping Old Street to reach the entrance.
The beautiful red of the bricks complements the trees bathed in Taiwan's sunlight beautifully.
The museum is air-conditioned, so you can learn about history while sheltering from the hot Tainan sun, even in October. Even for Japanese visitors, there were some fascinating exhibits, such as a letter from Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Red Seal Ship trade.
There is a shop below the observation tower, and they also sell snacks sold inside Anping's historic buildings, which I thought would make a great souvenir.
There were few people around, so I was able to relax and reflect on history.
Nearby, there are beautiful Taiwanese temples and Anping Old Street, so be sure to check them out too!
