Taiwan Taipei Travel Record

#AbsolutelyFreeTrip
On my first trip to Taipei, I was able to experience the charm of a fusion of tradition and modernity. The first place I visited was Jiufen, which is said to be the setting for the movie "Spirited Away." The retro townscape that spreads among the mountains and the narrow alleys lit by red lanterns created a fantastic space that made me feel like I was in a story. The view of the sea from the hilltop was beautiful, and I spent a relaxing time enjoying the famous taro ball sweets.

Next, I went to the "National Palace Museum," which is said to be one of the four major museums in the world. I was overwhelmed by the vast collection of items that tell the story of China's thousands of years of history. Among them, the famous "Emerald Cabbage" and "Meat-shaped Stone" are a harmony of delicate carving techniques and the beauty of the materials, and I felt the depth of art. The exhibits are changed regularly, so no matter how many times I visit, I'm sure I'll find something new.

In the evening, I went to Taipei's famous night market. I visited Shilin Night Market, and the bustling streets lined with food stalls were filled with fragrant smells and vitality. While enjoying local delicacies such as jumbo chicken cutlets, pepper buns, and mango shaved ice, I got a glimpse of life in Taipei as locals and tourists mixed together.

Throughout this trip, I was completely captivated by the warmth of the people of Taipei, the depth of its culture, and the charm of the city. I would like to return in a different season and take my time.
