Taipei Daan Ipso Hotel is the second Ipso Hotel in Taiwan, following the Hsinchu Ipso Hotel.

Honestly, I have no idea what's trending in Chinese music right now, but upon entering Daan Ipso, you'll find songs by Mayday, Jay Chou, Eileen Tsai, Stefanie Sun, Faye Wong, and Mo Wenwei... Every single one of them is a classic you'll be familiar with!

On the day we checked in, we happened to run into a staff member from Hong Kong.

He said that when he came to work here, hearing these hit songs from his youth brought him to tears!

#Guest Rooms with Private Balconies

In Greater Taipei, staying in a room with a private balcony is quite a luxury. Our room faces west, so we can't see Taipei 101.
But it does have a good-sized balcony and a drop-down bathtub with floor-to-ceiling windows creating a sense of transparency.
Evening baths are incredibly comfortable.

The bath products we use are from the modern New York-based skincare brand MALIN+GOETZ.
The brand's entire product line is paraben-free, fragrance-free, and colorant-free.
And they're also cruelty-free.
For people like us who have stray cats, this is especially important.

The room design also features a modern retro vibe.
The king-size Sealy mattress and a brown blanket atop the duvet are incredibly soft, making you want to buy one to take home.
There's also a vintage record player on the table with a selection of Mandarin albums.
