Travel through Shanxi and have a dialogue with a thousand-year story

When sunlight passes through the main gate, it feels like opening a breathing history book.

This is one of the earliest established museums in China. The collections mainly come from archaeological excavations since the 1920s and accumulations from a century of acquisitions, especially featuring bronzes, ceramics, stone carvings, Buddhist statues, murals, calligraphy, and paintings. It immediately starts a wonderful cultural journey.

The Shanxi Museum has four floors. The second floor houses the Jin Kingdom Hegemony Exhibition Hall, featuring the museum's emblem prototype and the "treasure of the museum," the Jin Hou Bird Zun, bronze wine vessels from the Western Zhou Dynasty, and sacrificial vessels from the Jin Hou ancestral temple, telling the history of Shanxi from ancient times to the Shang and Zhou periods. The third floor has the Ethnic Melting Pot and Buddhist Cultural Charm Exhibition Hall, showcasing the ethnic integration and Buddhist culture of the Sui and Tang Dynasties. The fourth floor has six exhibition halls presenting Shanxi's achievements in ancient architecture, jade, ceramics, currency, and more. The focus is on the five historical themed exhibition halls on the second and third floors (Cradle of Civilization, Traces of Xia and Shang, Jin Kingdom Hegemony, Ethnic Melting Pot, Buddhist Cultural Charm), which are the core embodiment of the "Spirit of Jin."

These are not cold artifacts but romantic tokens left by the ancients, containing stories waiting for us to understand.
