Takachiho in my memory

Takachiho Gorge is located on Kyushu Island, Japan. It's not difficult to get there, but renting a car is recommended. On a good weather day with calm waters, it's highly recommended to go boating. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the flowing somen noodles along the bamboo are delicious.

Boating at Takachiho Gorge is one of the most popular tourist activities in Japan. The gorge is located in Miyazaki Prefecture on Kyushu Island. It features basalt cliffs formed from the cooling of lava after the eruption of Mount Aso millions of years ago.

The highlight of boating at Takachiho Gorge is viewing the Manai Falls, which cascade down from a height of about 17 meters. Additionally, boating allows tourists to experience the beauty of nature filled with lush greenery and view the wave-like rock formations created by erosion.

Boating here is an activity that can be enjoyed in spring, summer, and autumn. However, autumn is particularly beautiful as the leaves change to orange, red, and yellow, enhancing the scenery around the gorge.

Additional Information:
- Boats can be rented during operating hours, with rental times ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- The boat rental fee is usually around 2,000 yen per boat (for 2-3 people).
- It's recommended to go in the morning or evening to avoid large crowds and to enjoy a more peaceful atmosphere.

Boating at Takachiho Gorge is a beautiful natural adventure and an experience not to be missed when visiting Kyushu Island.

I booked a flight to Japan with AirAsia through Trip.com. Everything was convenient and fast.
