Takayama Betsuin Shourenji

This outstanding temple in Takayama is the Takayama branch temple of the Jodo Shinshuu Otani sect. It has a large main gate in the front of a wide road approaching a temple. It was originally in Shirakawago Nakano, but moved to Takayama. You can also see the bell tower.

We had a quick stop here during our trip to Shirakawa-go. We visited January 3rd, 2022. The temple was covered with snow.

In 2024, I want to see the iconic Angkor Wat.
