Tengchong Bodu Hot Spring Resort Inn
❤️Tengchong in Yunnan is famous for its hot springs and jade. It is said that there are more than 90 volcanoes here, so hot spring resources are very rich. There are also many hot spring hotels to choose from. I saw that many people recommended this hotel online, so I booked it. However, the actual experience was a bit disappointing...
📍Location: The hotel is on a mountain, about 20 km from the airport, a 30-minute drive. Our package included airport transfers. The hotel arranged a GL8 car, which was quite clean, and the driver was nice. The next day, we hired him for half a day to go to Rehai and then to the airport, which cost an extra 100 yuan, which was okay.
✨Facilities: This was originally a townhouse. The owner bought it and converted it into a hotel, so to be honest, the exterior is a bit rustic... It's a red brick and yellow wall house. The lobby sofa area is okay (see photos 3 and 4), but the rest is not high-end. Photos 1 and 2 are of the hotel's cafe. The artificial pool outside is not for swimming or soaking. The mist effect was added later, so it looks quite different in person.
🛌Room: Hot spring hotels here are not cheap. Our package included airport transfers and breakfast for two, which cost about 1,500 yuan. However, there was no phone in the room, so we had to contact the butler personally. The room was very, very dark. It was really hard to see at night, and the bathroom lighting was not suitable for makeup... A fatal flaw...
👍🏻Service: Since you have to walk and climb stairs to get to the room, the staff will help carry your luggage. A welcome fruit and preserved fruit platter were provided in the room, both sweet. Breakfast was a buffet with limited options, more like a B&B.
🔥Hot spring: There is no public pool, only private ones in the guest rooms. There is a large bathtub on the outdoor balcony where you can enjoy the mountain view while soaking.
