Hibiya Park is the first Western-style park in Japan.

Hibiya Park is a park in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Hibiya Park is located near the bustling Tokyo Station and Ginza. The park, like an urban oasis, not only has beautiful natural scenery. The park covers an area of about 16 hectares. In the vast park, there are colorful flower beds, flower beds planted with tropical trees and flowers, and elegant fountain pools, etc., where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of each season. The park has facilities such as tennis courts, a small concert hall, and an old park museum. There are also cafes and restaurants, which are a good place to take a break during a leisurely walk. Although Hibiya Park is located in the metropolis of Tokyo, it is a place where you can get close to nature and enjoy different natural beauty such as seasonal flowers and plants throughout the year.
Among them, the scenery in spring and autumn is particularly beautiful. Every spring, six types of cherry blossoms, including Somei Yoshino cherry, mountain cherry and weeping cherry, bloom in the park. Although there are only 40 cherry trees, the contrast between the urban high-rise buildings and the cherry blossoms is a unique sight in Hibiya Park.
In autumn, beautiful red maple leaves can be seen everywhere in the park.
The most important thing you cannot miss is the rows of dazzling golden ginkgo trees, especially the ginkgo trees called "Gambler Ginkgo". This huge tree is 400 to 500 years old and has a trunk circumference of 7 meters. The nearest station to Hibiya Park is Kasumigaseki Station, which is a 1-minute walk away. It takes about 4 minutes from Tokyo Station to Kasumigaseki Station on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line, and about 13 minutes from Shinjuku Station.
