[Tokyo/Hibiya] A park filled with flowers, light and art

Tokyo ๐“‚ƒ ๐“ˆ’๐“ธ Hibiya
Hibiya Park/Playground Becomes Dark Slowly

Playground Becomes Dark Slowly is being held until May 12th (Sun)

It is one of the "Flower and Light Movement" events held by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in various parks throughout the year ๐Ÿซข
In Hibiya Park, there is an installation that combines flowers, light, and "art".

Gravity and Grace

A 7m-long vase-like installation by Shinji Ohmaki ๐Ÿบ I couldn't go to the National Art Center last year, so I was really hoping to go ๐Ÿฅบโœจ

I was surprised that it would be exhibited outdoors

I learned for the first time that this work was inspired by the theme of nuclear power

I got closer and couldn't help but stare at the flowing patterns that evoke the flowers, veins, and natural waves

Flower Hammock

An area where a large hammock made from upcycled fishing nets that were going to be discarded is hanging over a sea of โ€‹โ€‹flowers

You can sway gently while looking at the rich nature of the park, feel the sky that feels wide even though you're in the city, and enjoy the comfortable space โ˜๏ธ

You can spend your time chatting and feeling the spring breeze ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿชป

There are also other things to see, such as the sound installation "Yohakushi" and the workshop "Flower Lanterns" that is held only on Saturdays, so be sure to check them out

It seems there are food trucks on weekends and holidays

You can enjoy it from morning to night, and the atmosphere changesโ—Ž

I like the hammocks during the day and Omaki's installation at nightโ—Ž
