Ueno Park Attraction Recommendation｜Toshogu Shrine

Located within Ueno Park, Toshogu Shrine may not be as grand as the one in Nikko, but its convenient location attracts many tourists and worshippers.

The shrine was built to commemorate Tokugawa Ieyasu, and thus it is quite large in scale. Upon entering the main gate, you will see splendid decorations, with every architectural detail showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship of ancient artisans. Along the path, you can admire the carvings and the nearby five-story pagoda. We felt a sense of tranquility and relaxation, surrounded by devout worshippers. If you visit Ueno Park, it is recommended to at least take a stroll around here.
