The Toden Arakawa Line: A Showa-era Feel

I rode the entire line from Minowabashi to Waseda.
The ride took about an hour.
The surprising fare of just 170 yen for the entire line.

Around Asukayama, famous for Eiichi Shibusawa,
the climb is so steep it's hard to believe you're in the city.

I rode it in the morning, so I could really see how it's used by locals.

This ride offers a different experience of Tokyo than usual, so I recommend it for those visiting Tokyo for the first time.
