Today's Tokyo journey begins at Ueno Zoo. This zoo is renowned for its diverse animal exhibits, making it a highly anticipated visit.
In the morning, take the JR Yamanote Line to Ueno Station, and from the station exit, it's about a 10-minute walk to the zoo.
Upon entering the zoo, the first thing that catches your eye is the strong gorillas. Their well-defined muscles showcase their incredible strength. Watching them climb trees with such agility is awe-inspiring, reminding me of their survival skills in the wild.
Next, I visited the tiger exhibit. These majestic tigers bask in the sunlight, their golden fur shimmering in the light. Their stern expressions and readiness to display their predatory instincts create an invisible sense of pressure.
At noon, I strolled to Ueno Park, where the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. The white and pink petals sway in the breeze, as if draping the earth in a soft veil.
The walk from Ueno Zoo to Ueno Park takes about 5 minutes.
The park's lake reflects the cherry blossoms, creating a picturesque scene. Sitting on a bench by the lake, enjoying a bento, and basking in the spring sunshine brings an immense sense of peace.
Evening: Tokyo Tower
In the evening, I headed to Tokyo Tower. This iconic structure sparkles with brilliant lights as night falls, standing tall like a pearl in Tokyo's skyline.
From Ueno Park, take the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line to Tameike-Sanno Station, transfer to the Oedo Line to Akabanebashi Station, and it's about a 10-minute walk to Tokyo Tower.
From the observation deck, the city's nightscape unfolds before your eyes, with bustling streets and twinkling lights creating a stunning panorama. At this moment, I can't help but marvel at Tokyo's endless charm.
This day's itinerary was filled with surprises and beauty, from the animals at Ueno Zoo to the cherry blossoms at Ueno Park, and the night view from Tokyo Tower. Every spot left me deeply enchanted. Every corner of Tokyo is filled with stories, and I look forward to exploring the city's charm again!
