Tokyo, Shiba Park|Zojoji Temple|A moment to calm your mind at the head temple connected to the Tokugawa family, standing with Tokyo Tower in the background

"Zojoji Temple" is a head temple of the Jodo sect located in the Shiba Park area of Tokyo, known as the family temple of the Tokugawa shogunate, a historic and famous temple. Its majestic presence with Tokyo Tower in the background creates a unique landscape where modernity and history intersect 📸🛕

Founded in 1393, it flourished greatly during the Edo period as the Tokugawa family’s place of worship. The graves of six shoguns (Hidetada, Ienobu, Ietsugu, Ieshige, Ieyoshi, and Iemochi) are still located on the temple grounds, giving off a dignified atmosphere. Passing through the solemn main hall and the Sangedatsumon Gate, the noise of the city fades away, and you are enveloped in a feeling of peaceful calm 🌿🧘‍♀️

We recommend taking photos that capture both Tokyo Tower and Zojoji Temple in the same frame 📷✨. Especially at dusk or during the light-up, the scenery becomes magical. There are benches on the grounds, perfect for relaxing. The surrounding area is also great for strolling, with Shiba Park, Prince Hotel, and cafes in Hamamatsucho all nearby 🚶‍♂️☕

📍Access: 3-minute walk from Onarimon Station A1 exit on the Toei Mita Line / 10-minute walk from JR Hamamatsucho Station
🕰Open to the public (Tokugawa shogun graves require a fee and confirmation)
🎟Temple grounds free / Shogun family graves viewing 500 yen for adults
