After a flavorful curry at Kokkai Press Café inside the National Press Building, I headed just across the street for a rare visit to Japan’s National Diet Building. No reservation needed — you can sign up on the day and choose between the House of Representatives or the House of Councillors (I went with the latter).

The building itself is stunning: massive stone architecture, beautiful stained glass, intricate reliefs, and historical statues. Even without deep political knowledge, the structure alone is worth the visit!
