Okinawa | Ryukyu Onsen Senagajima Hotel: A Great Place to Soak in the Hot Springs and Watch Planes Take Off and Land

If you're looking for a hot spring on Senaga Island, the Ryukyu Onsen Hotel is the only choice. With direct views of the ocean and Naba Airport, it's a perfect spot for watching planes take off and land. The double-glazed windows provide excellent soundproofing, so the noise from the planes isn't noticeable from inside the room.

The hotel's front desk staff was courteous and responsive, and they were extremely knowledgeable and well-trained, from checking you in to helping you call a taxi. The breakfast, featuring a multi-layered bento-style meal rather than a buffet, was truly unique and delicious.

We stayed in a 28-square-meter double room with an airport view. It had wooden floors, a small sofa area, and a balcony with an ocean view. We also had free access to the VIP lounge. A night for two, including breakfast, cost NT$6,600. While a bit more expensive than the resort hotel next door, it offered a hot spring bath.
