|Unique drainage street. This mysterious 800-meter-long alley is a living fossil of history. When the ancient city of Tongguan was swallowed by a reservoir, only this alley survived, like a tenacious "survivor" in the long river of history. This is due to the unique terrain design of the alley, with a natural drainage ditch in the middle of the road and high-rise houses on both sides. When it rains heavily, the water automatically flows away, perfectly interpreting what is called a "smart city."
Shuipo Lane, which has been "operating" since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, has witnessed countless dynastic changes, and even Emperor Qianlong once left his footprints here. Kang Youwei once lived here briefly and left a poem, "The dragon flies and the phoenix dances, the wind comes to the moon," as if to say: Even if history is vicissitudes, I am still free and easy. The ancient well from the Tang Dynasty, which is still preserved today, even made Qianlong exclaim, "It is truly spiritual water," showing how amazing the water quality here is!
