After 10 years of traveling with kids, I declare Wuzhen's West Scenic Zone the ultimate water town for families!

Having traveled with children for years, I still love this water town the most. This summer, I returned to Wuzhen for vacation with my 11-year-old and 7-month-old. For convenience, we stayed at the newly opened Di Shang Resort Hotel within the West Scenic Zone, fully immersing ourselves in its charming slow-paced life.

Wuzhen's West Scenic Zone represents the essence of Wuzhen, more refined and tranquil than the East Zone, featuring classic Jiangnan water town scenery with small bridges and flowing water.

Di Shang Resort Hotel is Wuzhen's new high-end art resort, located within the West Scenic Zone. With a "boat trail" design theme, its three interconnected buildings resemble ships docked in a harbor, offering views of both the canal and ancient town. The rooftop infinity pool provides stunning vistas, including breathtaking night views of the White Lotus Pagoda.

The kids bought a whimsical lobster lantern that became the talk of the town - so many people wanted photos with it! We sampled countless local snacks: victory cakes, black rice treats, radish cakes, scallion wraps, and the children especially loved the yogurt.

Nighttime in West Scenic Zone is magical with lights reflecting on the water. The boat tour at dusk is highly recommended - the combination of flickering lights and oar sounds creates an unforgettable Jiangnan water town atmosphere.

Don't miss the unique Morning Tea experience at the Water Market (7-9:30am). Our resort breakfast credit could be exchanged here, offering an array of delights: steaming soup dumplings, pan-fried buns, fried dough sticks, pastries, wontons, fried ice cream, and eel noodles.

A short electric cart ride takes you to Wuzhen Village - an excellent family resort with indoor play areas (perfect for hot days) featuring activities like egg collecting, lobster fishing, treehouse climbing, and mini train rides. The craft center offers bracelet-making, tie-dye, painted fans, and more - our kids were entertained for hours.

Wuzhen truly never disappoints as a family-friendly destination.
